Always strive to be better! Dare to embrace change to elicit a new reaction. Looking for a new adventure would get you out from your comfort zone and discover new strengths and excitement.

Change is scary at times but why do you need to be afraid if you already have this one life to manage. If you happen to fail it means you’re acting and you should learn and try again. Only you can allow new things to happen; and it can only happen when you allow change to take place.

Maximize life! Make it a brand new day and do a new good thing!

What job are you currently holding? Are you happy? I truly believe that gone are the old thoughts wherein if you don’t belong to the most bankable careers then you will not become filthy rich. Back to my title: ask the question “Are You Happy?”

If the answer is “YES” then you’re in the right track. But if you start doubting or answered it with “NO” then what are you doing? Find your passion, what will really make you happy and start working toward it and you’ll live the best life on your waking days!

Trust me; it ain’t worth it if you ain’t smiling!

One of the companies that I’ve joined before has a manager who said a team will need a leader who shall give directives, the time will come when a decision needs to be made and at that time the leader has to say the word and if he ever come up with the wrong decision then the team suffers and everybody has to lived with that. I think that’s rubbish to make a wrong decision for the whole team… I guess I am waiting for so much more, my manager shouldn’t stop there he should have said:

1. Every decision should be for the benefit of the team.
2. Every decision has a consequence and yes everyone learns from it.
3. Resolve the problem if it’s still possible.

What does work mean to you?

• A source to pay the bills.
• A source to put food on the table.
• A source to relieve boredom. 
• A source of fulfillment.
• A source of power.
• A source of glory. 
• A way to make a difference.

People need to work as was told by the wise because it is a source of what is needed daily to nourish the body and soul.

We were given the talent that only we can do it like no one else can and that talent should be discovered and be done to give us that energy and inspiration to get up in the morning without the feeling of exhaustion and slavery… simply because we do what we love to do.

Work is often labeled as a burden especially when our hearts is not in it but if we love what we do work is really a good way to express our thoughts, a way to touch other people, and solve someone else’s problem.

Do we need a pat on the back after a job well done?

Do we really need a confirmation and glory?

What if we don’t get it?

Do we need to be sad? Or do we need to push ourselves more?

Is perfection really possible?

Is the person we’re hoping to give it really matters to judge?

We’ll be lying if we say we don’t want to be recognized although it’s a reality that not all people will give it for the reason that we don’t deserve it just yet or another cruel part that we’ll never deserve it according to judge’s standard. If that’s the case, how do we fight the thirst for a pat after all the heart and soul dedication that isn’t enough?

We have to go back to our self and give our own assessment that we don’t need anybody to tell us that we did one great work. Life is about trial and error and the real success is to have done it and try again until everything is just right.

We cannot judge people because we don’t know what they are thinking, what their desires are, what their end goals are, what makes them happy, and who they really are. Do not take the word of one person about somebody because every individual reacts differently depending on the person’s very own experience and thoughts.

As the corny joke quote says: “Do not judge a book if you’re not a judge.” It makes sense because if you’re a judge it means you were given the right to give an opinion otherwise it’s better to keep the advice on yourself. On the other hand, if it’s really necessary to point out a mistake, no one should keep your tongue tied.

The truth that I am already in the wrong track may be painful to admit especially if it comes from another person but it would be better that my attention get called so I may contemplate about it and the possibility of correcting what I’ve done wrong.

Exciting projects can keep me awake and pushed me to wake up each morning to face the brand new day with zest. The project where I am involved in right now was so exciting that I am almost obsessed for perfection which was influenced by my client. So many things are at stake; there were times that I am almost giving up but the will of my team mates, the thought of the goal, and the satisfaction of fulfillment keeps me moving to believe “We can do this!”

I read from a newspaper magazine that according to research the brain needs to relax that’s why having weekends is good enough rest for a five days work. Hmmm it makes sense because the rest would allow us to go back to our five days work with more vigor and concentration; although it must be really good if work gives us so much fun that we don’t feel like working anymore but spending seven days as relax days. Seriously speaking, calling all workaholic to hush and give our body and brain a quality rest.

The real beauty of teaching someone how to do things is to be the model. One time I was really exhausted and can’t find my optimism then I received a simple SMS from my boss that says “It’s a beautiful day!” and at that very moment I absorbed his wonderful energy and turned the whole day indeed beautiful.

Setting an example is one thing. Following the example is a whole new story.
