One of the companies that I’ve joined before has a manager who said a team will need a leader who shall give directives, the time will come when a decision needs to be made and at that time the leader has to say the word and if he ever come up with the wrong decision then the team suffers and everybody has to lived with that. I think that’s rubbish to make a wrong decision for the whole team… I guess I am waiting for so much more, my manager shouldn’t stop there he should have said:
- Every decision should be for the benefit of the team.
- Every decision has a consequence and yes everyone learns from it.
- Resolve the problem if it’s still possible.
